Better Investment To Buy A Single Family Home Or Condo In San Diego?

Looking to buy my first home in the next year or so in San Diego.
I read online that condos are a dime a dozen but in San Diego less than 10% of residents can afford to buy a single family home.
Is a condo a safer investment here?

I am a real estate broker in Southern California. If you are starting out in your career and you expect to make more money down the road, then start off with a 2BD/2BA condo. That way, when you are ready to move on, your condo will be easy to lease out and or sell. However, if you are established in life and plan to die in your house, then leave the condo alone.
There are good deals in single family homes and in condos. Of course, SFR are more expensive.

Single family or multi-family properties are always the best bet. Condos are overpriced and the market will not catch up for a while.
