Could a planet orbit around more the one sun? I mean, there are all these SF shows that show planets having 3 suns or more. And I know that astronomical objects usually orbit around the "heaviest" object around them. Like the moon to us, and we to the sun. Also, if multiple suns are really close one to another won’t they collide or something?

ie. A natal chart as seen from Venus, for example.

I’m reviewing a software that creates natal charts from the perspective of several other planets.

The example given is Elizabeth Taylor’s chart from the perspective of Venus (from Venus her chart has a kite that overlays a box pattern…)

It’s interesting, but what would one use the different perspective for?

I’ve heard that it’s been observed that planets can leave orbit around one star, "fly" through space, and later come near another star and enter its orbit. Is this true? If so, What is this phenomenon called? And where could I read about it?
